BIOGRAPHY

Dzul Dance was created in 2003. Artistic Director Javier Dzul, described as "mythical" by CityArts, and his culturally diverse company of 10 performers have been presented throughout the world garnering reviews along the way that hail Dzul’s “acrobatic wizardry” (Attitude: The Dancer’s Magazine) and "spellbinding" (The Scotsman) choreography.

Dzul Dance's intense physicality and creative appeal have won them invitations to perform at prestigious venues and festivals in over ten countries. Some highlights include United Nations, Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland), Festival Cervantino (Mexico), Reichold Center for the Arts (USVI), Banff Arts Centre (Canada) and Festival Centro Historico (Mexico).

Our Company has been featured by National Public Radio, American Latino, Univision's Despierta America, NY1, Bloomberg TV and in photographer Acey Harper's Private Acts: the acrobat sublime published by Rizolli in 2009.
